This huge lake is in the Buen Retiro Park, and in the morning sun it glistens so beautifully. It is common to see paddleboats gliding across the water, as well as street vendors, runners along the sidewalk, and ducks/birds. A guitar player was also seated alongside the lake strumming away, creating a very enchanting atmosphere.

This is the first building you see when you turn left coming out of my hotel, NH Hotel de Alcala, along Calle de Puerta Alcala. Gorgeous white architecture like this can be found all over Madrid, and I love it because it reminds me of cake decorating, with vanilla frosting and intricate swirls!
